แนวคิด กฎ 80/20
ยอดขาย 80% มาจากลูกค้าเกรด A (หรือสินค้าที่ขายดีในกรณีพิจารณา supply side) จำนวนเพียง 20% ดังนั้นบริษัทต่างๆ จึงระดมสรรพกำลัง และทรัพยากรส่วนใหญ่ขององค์กรไปเพื่อบริหารลูกค้าระดับท็อป 20 % หมด เพราะมีกำลังซื้อสูงกว่า และเชื่อว่าจะสร้างผลกำไรให้กับบริษัทได้ดีกว่าลูกค้ากลุ่มที่เหลืออีก 80%

ทฤษฎีหางแถวได้ชื่อมาจากกราฟที่มีรูปร่างหัวโตและหางยาว กราฟนี้เกิดจากความถี่ในการใช้ข้อมูลต่างๆ โดยข้อมูลที่มีการใช้บ่อยที่สุดจะอยู่ส่วนหัวโต ซึ่งมักจะมีปริมาณไม่กี่อัน ส่วนข้อมูลที่มีความถี่ในการใช้น้อยก็จะอยู่ถัดมาเป็นลำตัว ที่น้อยลงไปอีกก็จะอยู่ในส่วนหางที่ทอดยาวออกไป

OCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICES

ALF houses material that no longer fit in the IUB libraries. Users request material through the “request this item” link in the IUCAT record. Materials are usually delivered to the library the next working day

Document Delivery Service (DDS) / Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Students, faculty and staff may use this

free service to request books and/or copies of items not owned by IUB Libraries. Forms are available at www.libraries.iub.edu/index.php?pageId=55. Contact reference staff for urgent requests.

Request Delivery

Students, faculty and staff may place requests via IUCAT for delivery of materials from IUB and other IU campus libraries. It may take 4-7 working days.

Request Article Delivery

A pilot program that supplies photocopies of journal articles from printed or microform materials held on the Bloomington campus. www.libraries.iub.edu/index.php?pageId=56.

HEMISTRY LIBRARY KEY

IUB faculty, research scientists, and post-doctoral fellows may obtain a personal key to the Chemistry Library. Also, undergraduate students engaged in research are eligible for a key. A faculty member may sponsor a staff member or PA to receive a key or may sign for a group key that can then be used by anyone in the research group.

HE CHEMISTRY LIBRARY

The chemistry collection primarily serves faculty, students, and other researchers in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University, Bloomington. It is also a resource for those in the related fields of life sciences, physics, and geosciences and is open to the public.

OLLECTION

The main strengths of the collection are in analytical chemistry and organic chemistry along with inorganic, physical and theoretical chemistry. The library maintains a valuable selection of electronic reference tools, including:

• Analytical Abstracts

• Cambridge Structural Database

• CrossFire Commander

• CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics

• SciFinder Scholar

Recent areas of acquisitions include materials sciences to support the department’s move into this area of research. Materials for biochemistry are found in both the Chemistry Library and the Life Sciences Library. Like other science libraries, our journal collection is much larger than our book holdings. The print journal collection includes close to 200 titles and the complete backfiles of electronic journals such as:

• American Chemical Society (1879-present)

• Royal Society of Chemistry (1841-present)

• selected Wiley and Elsevier journals

OAN POLICIES

Faculty, students and staff of Indiana University as well as Indiana residents may borrow circulating library materials by presenting a valid photo identification or library card. Renewals may be made in person, by phone, by email (

Books

circulate 120 days for faculty, graduate students, and staff; 45 days for undergraduates; 30 days for Indiana residents.

Journals

and Reference materials are restricted to library use only.

Reserve items

loan for two hours; some are restricted to library use only. Reserve material may not be renewed by phone or email.

Recalls

All materials are subject to immediate recall for reserves or after 10 days if needed by another patron.

NFORMATION SERVICES

The print reference collection is located in the southwest corner of the library. Please see one of our staff if you need assistance or send us an e-mail question to

libchem@indiana.edu.

Computers

The Chemistry Library provides computers running Windows (see map, PC’s 1-13) primarily to access library and chemistry–specific software and databases such as IUCAT and SciFinder Scholar. Computer #5 has a scanner with Omni Page Pro for OCR work. Faculty, graduate and Informatics students have access with their library key to the Chemical Informatics Commons, room 003C that houses PCs 1-4. Many library resources are available at www.libraries.iub.edu/findinfo

In addition, computers 14-17 are UITS InfoStations that allow quick access to e-mail and other web-based resources but no printing.

Laptops

Wireless internet access is available throughout the library for those with wireless cards and a VPN connection. An Ethernet port is available in the group study area of the library. You will need an Ethernet cable and a configured network card. More information on network access is available at the IU Knowledge Base at http://kb.indiana.edu.

New Books

New books are on display in the library for one week and our recent acquisitions are listed at www.indiana.edu/~librcsd/nt/. There you can also sign up for the new book e-alert.

ให้มองภาพว่า Mercury z39.50 clients คือ catalogue Module ของระบบ innopac ในห้องสมุด มช ดังนั้นหากต้องการลงรายการบบรณนุกรมหนังสือ เช่น ISBN เป็นตัวสำคัญในกานทำ catalogque ของห้องสมุด และระบบจะทำงานอย่างรวดเร็ว
